Join us and learn with us how to build a startup in 54h over a weekend. We will make sure you'll heave fun, learn a lot and meet amazing people that help you on your journey to success.

Startup weekend provides a safe space for you to explore if entrepreneurship is for you. We have world class people here in Faro for a weekend that will work with you. If you have an idea or want to explore how it is to join a startup team, come around and learn from inspiring people for 54h.

what to expect

Flow of the weekend

Friday

On Friday we meet late afternoon at the venue and get to know each other. Everyone who has an idea can pitch the idea but not everyone has to pitch an idea. We'll form teams around ideas and start to work.
We will close the venue around midnight to make sure everyone gets some sleep.

Saturday

We'll open the venue around 8am and will have plenty of coffee for you!
Saturday is all about validation, building prototypes, learning how to plan costs. It is a day packed with content. You will work with your team towards a working prototype and start working on a pitch.
We will close the venue around midnight again to make sure everyone gets some sleep.

Sunday

We'll open the venue around 8am and will have even more of coffee for you!
We are heading into the final lap, Sunday is about honing a pitch, finishing prototype build and preparing for the big night. Late afternoon we will welcome a few guests and judges and each team will pitch their startup to the judges. There will be winners, prizes, and a party at the end

Techstars Startup Weekend

Learn how to think, work, and build like a startup in 54 thrilling hours. Techstars Startup Weekend is an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups. Over an action-packed three days, you’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors to show you how to get more done faster -- and, maybe even start that Business.

Terms of Participation Agreement: It is our job to provide you with an incredible networking and learning experience. Our intention is that you meet some amazing people that you might start a company with, learn from mentors and learn from your peers. The event is intended to be a collaborative forum for sharing, learning, building, and having fun. As such, by registering as a participant, you acknowledge that any ideas shared by you or anyone else over the course of the event are contributions to the overall experience and community. If you’re very concerned, you can limit your pitch to the rough outline of the idea without giving away key information.

As a member of your startup community, you agree to be inclusive of any and all people and their ideas. You agree to act professionally, treat everyone with respect, and treat the event facilities with proper care. You agree that you are responsible in the event of any accidents or damages that you cause. You also agree to not hold Techstars Startup Weekend, your local volunteer team, or any of the event supporters liable for any loss, damage, injury, or any other unforeseeable incident.

By participating in the event, you grant Techstars permission to capture photos/videos of the event and use them for marketing purposes, so we can continue to offer amazing Techstars Startup Weekends around the world.
